AVOWAL MUSIC PRODUCTIONS has worked with a large number of bands, studios, and songwriters producing quality music in a number of different genres. Peruse the list below to see some of them.
Who: Highlighted by soaring vocals and signature sax lines, Berch delivers energetic rock with melodic hooks. Being composed of individuals with very different musical influences and backgrounds produced a sound that is unlike anything else currently being put out. On September 17th they released their debut album, "Before and After the Fall.".
What: Produced, engineered, mixed and mastered debut album.
Who: 16 Frames is the creation of frontman and songwriter Steve Sulikowski. The future is anything but static for 16 Frames with their music already featured on "Private Practice","The Hills" and "Kyle XY". 16 Frames also recently toured with Sheryl Crow, Crowded House and Pete Yorn. Their debut album Where It Ends is on sale everywhere now.
What: mixed "Daylight" and "I'll be Better When you're Gone" which was on MTV's "The Hills"
Who: Josh Threlkeld is a songwriter and performer with credits throughout the United States. His "Acoustic Soul" style finds root in the loves and sadness of commom men and women, lifting their spirits through the contagious energy of his performance. Josh’s debut CD, For Starters was released February 2009.
What: Engineered and mixed "Gone to See" and "Love is Not a Gamble". Mixed and co-engineered "Right Here"
Who: The Meckatones are a soul funk trio based out of Baltimore, MD. Formed in November 2009, The Meckatones traveled from Baltimore to Memphis, TN, in March 2010, to record their debut work entitled "Memphis [EP]. Their single "Let Him Go" is currently on AAA radio stations on regular rotation. Completely independent, The members of the band, two of which are brothers, have a very strong Do-It-Yourself attitude.
What: Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered "Memphis" EP.
Who: Era Borough is led by Jerome Sheldon, originally from rural New Jersey and now in Memphis, TN. With a very diverse musical style, Era Borough brings something completely fresh to music. While retaining a classic sound that draws on the sounds of the greats, Era Borough brings a new vibe and direction.
What: co-produced, engineered, mixed and mastered Time and Space
Who: Based in Memphis Tennessee, the Life Church of Memphis offers powerful worship experiences with a unique sound. A multicultural church, the essence of their congregation comes through in their sound. They just released their first EP titled simply "The Life Church Worship EP".
What: Co-produced, recorded, and mixed Worship EP.
Who: AVOWAL producer Wes Leyshon was directly involved in gathering the sounds and music that went into this production, recorded on location. The CD is composed of 19 original and traditional songs from Nicaragua and Costa Rica. All of the proceeds go to missionaries and musicians in Central America.
What: produced, engineered and mixed
Who: Memphis local Caleb Sigler is a songwriter with a lot of soul. HIs EP single "Straight On Til Morning" is his recording debut. The proceeds from this project will go to support Hope Chest and is to be released Early 2011.
What: produced, co-recorded, mixed, and mastered EP "Straight On Til Morning".
Who: If Soul is dead, then the solution is Tim Terry, a native of Memphis, Tennessee. Terry's musical influences include Rhythm and Blues' disciples of Soul, Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, Willie Hutch, Al Green and Isaac Hayes.
What: Mixed single "Ooowee"
Who: A talented musician from Zimbabwe, Tichaona recorded his second album "Ndinzweiwo" in Bluawayo, Zimbabwe. He has shared the stage with Oliver Mtukudzi and has collaborated with artist Ceejay.
